It all began in 1945, after the liberation of Florence. Renzo Salvadori, fifteen years old, is hired at a small mechanical workshop in the center of Florence. Here the young Renzo learns to operate the lathe and discovers his genius as a fountain pen maker.
Stipula writing instruments are today manufactured in the Florence – Vallina factory, on the banks of the Arno river. Craftsmen, nib masters, modeling artists, miniaturist painters, goldsmiths: all united in a common search for excellence in the fountain pen.
In the 2000s Stipula recovered the artisanal structure of the historic oneGlobusfrom Bologna. Equipment with which nibs and feeders were made already in the 1930s. Stipula is today the protagonist in the creation ofbeating heart of the fountain pen.
The Collections
The quality of the materials is an essential part of the pen's manufacturing, guaranteeing its durability and attractiveness. The traditional processing of celluloid and ebonite alternates with the creation of exclusive resins that Stipula develops in its laboratories with casting and casting processes.
